Richard and Hulk Hogan

Richard made a request on 27 March 1985, days before the inaugural WrestleMania on his cable TV talk show Hot Properties that Hulk Hogan demonstrate one of his signature wrestling moves. Hogan after being asked by Richard several times put Richard in a front chin-lock, which caused Richard to be unconscious. When Richard was released, he hit his head on the floor, sustaining a laceration to the scalp that required hospitalization.

Richard got angry with Hogan and he sued  him for $5 million and settled out of court. He used the incident in his HBO special Another Lone Nut as part of his stand-up routine.
