Richard Roxburgh Career
After graduating from NIDA, Roxburgh immediately began to cooperate with the Sydney Theatre Company. He played the role of New South Wales Police Detective Roger Rogerson in the 1995 TV miniseries “Blue Murder”, which gained public attention.
The company’s film and stage productions include the critically acclaimed role of Hamlet, starring Geoffrey Rush, Jacqueline McKenzie, and David Wenham, at the Belvoir Street Theater in 1994, Sydney.
In December 2007, he played the protagonist Roland Henning in Michael Goff’s “Toy Symphony” at the Belvoir Street Theatre. He won the Helpman Award for Best Dramatic Actor in 2008.
