The Kentucky born musician, Ricky Skaggs, is well known as a country singer, producer, and composer. He primarily plays the mandolin. Among other instruments, he also plays fiddle, guitar, mandocaster, and banjo.
Ricky Skaggs Early Career
His love for music began at the age of 5. His father, Hobert, gave him a mandolin which was his begin for the music career. His debut appearance on stage was at 6. He played the mandolin and also sang on stage together with Bill Monroe. Later at 7, he appeared on Television on the show, Martha White country music variety show.
