On April 9th, 2017 Rob Stone was performing at The Observatory in San Diego as part of Desiigner’s Outlet Tour, as he was getting on stage Ski Mask the Slump God grabbed the mic and refused to leave the stage. Ski Mark was escorted off the stage by several men and he has allegedly beaten up afterward.
When XXXTencation heard about the incident he took to social media to vent about the situation. The next day Ski Mark was performing at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles when he was grabbed from behind by two unidentified individuals and all three of them fell off the stage and into the crowd. Ski Mask was then chased by a large group of people and claims he was attacked by eight assailants, with the result that a friend of his was stabbed.
Both Rob Stone and Ski Mask were dropped from Desiigner’s Outlet Tour after the LA incident and both gave conflicting reports of what had happened on social media in the days afterward. More beef between Ski Mask and Rob Stone occurred after Rob was replaced by Ski Mask at the Rolling Loud Festival.
With the war of words between Rob and Ski Mask heating up, things came to a head in June 2017 when Ski Mask’s friend and vocal supporter XXXTentacion was sucker-punched on stage and instantly knocked out. A large brawl broke out on stage and at the back of the venue during which a nineteen-year-old was stabbed.
The blame for the attack on XXXTentacion was laid at the feet of Rob Stone with many in the crowd chanting ‘Fuck Rob Stone’ immediately after the brawl had been stopped.
Since then the beef may have cooled slightly between Ski Mask, XXXTentacion, and Rob Stone, but the animosity between the rappers is still clear to see, and if they don’t sort their problems out through mediation, the situation could easily explode into further violence.
