Robbie Williams Biography
Robbie Williams (Robert Peter Williams) was born on 13th February 1974 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. He is an English singer, songwriter and actor.He was a member of the pop group ‘Take That’.
Robbie Williams Education Background
Robbie Williams attended St Margaret Ward Catholic School in Tunstall, before attending dance school UKDDF in Tunstall. He participated in several school plays, and his biggest role was that of the Artful Dodger in a production of Oliver!.
Robbie Williams ‘Take That’ Band
In 1990 at the age of sixteen Robbie Williams joined ‘Take That’ band. Majority of the band’s material was written and performed by Gary Barlow, Williams did perform lead vocals on their first Top Ten hit “Could It Be Magic”, “I Found Heaven”, and “Everything Changes”. However, he had conflicts with Martin-Smith over the restrictive rules for Take That members, and he began drinking more alcohol and dabbling in cocaine.
In July 1995 he left the band due to internal conflicts with the members and management. The conflict had led to indulgence into alcohal abuse and drug use especially cocaine. After he left the band completed their Nobody Else Tour as a four-piece band. They later disbanded on 13 February 1996.
Robbie Williams wanted to begin his solo career but he couldn’t since he was bound by a clause in his Take That contract prohibited him from releasing any material until after the group was officially dissolved, and he was later sued by Martin-Smith and forced to pay $200,000 in commission. After various legal battles over his right to a solo career, Williams was victorious in getting released from his contract with BMG. On 27 June 1996, Williams signed with Chrysalis Records.
On 15 July that Williams rejoined Take That. In November 2010 the Take That album Progress was released, becoming the fastest selling album since 2000 and the second fastest selling album in UK history. Williams explained that the long-standing feud between himself and Gary has been resolved, and how close they now were.
Robbie Williams Solo Career
In 1966 Robbie Williams launched his solo career by covering George Michael’s “Freedom”, the single reached number two in the UK Singles Chart.
Robbie Williams debut single ‘Old Before I Die’ reached number two on the UK Charts. In September 1977 his debut album ‘Life thru a Lens. The album launched with his first live solo gig at the Élysée Montmartre theatre in Paris, France. The album debuted at number eleven on the UK Albums Chart.

Robbie Williams Wife
Robbie Williams started dating Ayda Field, American actress, in May 2006. On 26 November 2009, Williams proposed to Field live on the Australian radio channel 2DayFM in an interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show. A few days later Williams denied the engagement, using his official blog to say “Hey all. We are not engaged. Rob.” Later it was confirmed that they became engaged over Christmas. She and Williams wed at his home in Mulholland Estates in Beverly Hills on 7 August 2010.
On 18th September 2012 his daughter, Theodora “Teddy” Rose, was born. On 27th October 2014 their second child, Charlton “Charlie” Valentine, was born.
