Robert Oberst is an American professional strongman and actor from Santa Cruz California. Oberst was awarded his “Pro Card” at the 2012 Dallas Europa Amateur Strongman Competition.
Oberst is a yearly competitor of the World’s Strongest Man competition and a finalist in the 2013 World’s Strongest Man and 2018 World’s Strongest Man competitions. He was nicknamed “O.B.” since 2nd grade.
Oberst is representing the USA at the 2019 Tachi Palace World’s Strongest Man. The 2019 competition is his 6th WSM appearance where he hopes to make it into the Final. Oberst, Brian Shaw, Eddie Hall, and Nick Best will take on some of the most legendary feats of strength recorded throughout history.
One of his coworkers introduced him to the world of Strongman competitions and encouraged him to train for the events. Four months later, he received his Pro-Card.
