Ron Livingston (full name: Ronald Joseph Livingston) is an American actor who is known as Peter Gibbons, a character from the movie Office Space (1999) and as Captain Lewis Nixon in the miniseries Band of Brothers (2001).

He has appeared on notable roles on both movies and television series. They include The Conjuring (2013), Loudermilk, Swingers (1996), Boardwalk Empire (4th season) and Adaptation (2002).

Livingston is married to his Standoff co-star Rosemarie DeWitt. The couple met on the show and began a relationship soon after that. They first dated for three years and got married in San Francisco on November 2, 2009. They have two adopted children. Both children are girls: the first being adopted in May 2013, a month after her birth and their second daughter was adopted in December 2016 and was born the previous year.

Prior to marrying DeWitt, Livingston engaged to actress Lisa Sheridan.

Livingston’s involvement in the HBO TV series was confirmed on February 26, 2013 by Entertainment Weekly. He appeared in the series’ fourth season as Roy Phillips, a detective who poses as a wealthy out-of-town businessman who gets involved with Gillian Darmody (played by Gretchen Mol) in order to prosecute her for murder.

Loudermilk and A Million Little Things

In the comedy TV series, Loudermilk, Livingston appears as Sam Loudermilk, a substance abuse counselor who is also a recovering alcoholic. He also appeared in the drama series A Million Little Things on starring role as Jon Dixon. He commits suicide and this leads to his group of friends to evaluate their own lives
