Durham born actor, comedian, and screenwriter, Rowan Atkinson, is well known for his work on the sitcoms Blackadder and Mr. Bean. He has also appeared on Mr. Bean’s Holiday, Johnny English, Love Actually, and 1994’s The Lion King.

Atkinson attended the Durham Choristers Academy, the Preparatory School, St. Bees School, and Newcastle University, where he obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering.
