Arnold Vosloo is a South African actor. He is most commonly known for his roles in the films, The Mummy, and The Mummy Returns; G.I. Joe (as Zartan); Hard Target (as Pik Van Cleef); and “24” season 4 (as the Terrorist Habib Marwan). He was born and raised in an acting family based in Pretoria, South Africa. He took acting lessons and drama courses from the Pretoria Technikon.
Over the course of his career, Arnold has made several appearances in several films, and television shows. With this, he has garnered several awards and honors such as Dalro Awards for his theatre performances at the South African Theatre.

Arnold started his career acting in the South African Theatre where he has received several Dalro Awards. In those times, he performed in several plays such as Don Juan, Hamlet, and Môre is ‘n Lang Dag (Tomorrow is a Long Day). Soon after, he became a regular at Pretoria’s State Theatre. In those times, he also starred in Torch Song Trilogy and the TV show, Meisie van Suid-Wes (Girl from South West). He did this until 1984 when he moved on to film work. Even after the transition, he still continued to garner Dalro Awards for many of his performances.
Some years later, he moved to US productions. At first, he started with US theatre performances performing in plays such as Born In The R.S.A. at Chicago’s Northlight Theatre and Salome (1992) produced by NY’s Circle In The Square Uptown alongside Al Pacino. His American film debut was the English-Language French-Spanish epic historical drama film “1492: Conquest of Paradise”, released in 1992.
Since then, Arnold has appeared in several films in the United States such as Darkman, Darkman II: The Return of Durant (1994); Hard Target (1993); The Mummy (1999) and its 2001 sequel “The Mummy Returns” along with many other films. Alongside his film career, he has also guest-starred in several TV series such as The Red Shoe Diaries, American Gothic (1995), Nash Bridges (1995), Charmed (2000), Alias (2004) and NCIS (2009).
