Karen Zoid Biography
Karen Zoid was born on 10th August 1978 in Brussels, Belgium. She is a South African rock singer, guitarist and songwriter.
Karen Zoid Early Life and Education Background
She was born in Brussels to a Sout African diplomat, she grew up in Belgium before moving to Johannesburg.
She attended the National School of the Arts and later moved to study drama at AFDA.
She dropped out of University in 2001 to focus her attention on music.
Career
In June 2001 her first album ‘Poles Apart’ was released. “Afrikaners is Plesierig” achieved massive success and was listed as one of the 100 greatest South African songs by the Sunday Times.
EMI released her second album, “Chasing the Sun”, in June 2003 and her third, “Media”, in July 2005. Her fourth album “Postmodern World”, was released in August 2007

In 2004 she married former band member Don Reineke with whom she had a son in January 2007.They later divorced in 2010.
