Lerato Kganyago Biography
Lerato Kganyago was born on 22nd July 1982 in South Africa. She is a South African model, TV presenter, businesswoman and socialite. She is known for hosting her own talk show on Soweto TV called The LKG Show.

She started her schooling at Ipolokeng Primary school and later went to Boksburg High School where she matriculated. She then studied a Diploma in Travel and Tourism, and Public Relations at Damelin College.

She was featured on the popular drive time show on Jozi Fm, with DJ Hluks, as an entertainment news updater. On the same slot she hosted a car show updating listeners about the latest cars and celebrities that drive them.
In 2008 she became a presenter at the community TV station Soweto TV until 2012. In 2012 she got hired by SABC 1 replacing Bonang Matheba as the host of ‘The Link’. In 2016 she replaced Pearl Thusi as the co-host of SABC1 music show LIVE Amp.

In 2010 she had a small role in the e.tv drama series 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls. She has also had cameo roles on Live (she co-hosted the show with Crazy Lu), the mini-series After 9 on SABC1 and The Wild on M-Net.
In 2015 she joins SABC2 soapie Muvhango in the role of Mmasebotsana Primrose Mojalefa, a beauty and a businesswoman

Lerato Kganyago Miscarriage
In 2015 Lerato Kganyago had a miscarriage and during an interview on Real Talk by Anele Mdoda she revealed that she has actualy had two miscarriages. She suffered fibroids which were removed but have returned increasing her chances of miscarrying again.
She told Anele that she is in therapy to help her deal with the pain of her loss and had learnt to block out the idea of having children.
“I have blocked the idea of having children completely because of the pain that I went through when I miscarrried. I wouldn’t put that on my worst enemy. It is the most painful thing ever‚ especially when you really want to have a child.I’m comfortable with saying that I don’t want to have children. It is painful. I don’t want to go through that again.”
Lerato Kganyago Boyfriend
She has been single since breaking up with ex-fiance, South African soccer player Katlego Mashego back in 2014 after four years together. She has since found love again in an European boyfriend. Speaking about this new man in her life, she said, “We’ve been together for over a year and it’s going really great. He’s the total opposite of me – he’s reserved and I’m more outspoken and outgoing. I’m hoping to be with him for a long time.”

Yesterday Anele Mdoda had Ntando Duma as her guest on her talk show, Real Talk With Anele and took to Twitter to express that she was excited about their interview.
“I am excited about the REAL TALK guest today. She is one of the few fresh faces that makes me want to me young again…otherwise yhu I am happy being older shem 🙂 Remember we are at 6PM tonight.” She tweeted.
Lerato’s response was the one that caught many’s attention when she disclosed that the young mother reminded her of herself when she was still trying to break into the industry.
She recalls how she had a tough time and was mocked by many for trying to be like Bonang.
Duma who joined TouchHD in September last year recently bagged a new show on MTV titled Gqom nation.
“Ntando Duma… She somehow reminds me of me. Trying to break into the industry, trying to show people what you’re about. You know people give her a hard time but she just keeps pushing and keeps her eye on the prize,” Lerato said.
In 2016 Lerato shared with True Love Magazine that she was called “the Soweto Bonang” said she was done with talking about the comparison.
“I find it weird that people never ask her about me, but I’m the one that has to constantly answer questions about her. I’m happy I can finally confidently refuse to talk about her now. Before, I felt I needed to prove my character and work. Now, I’m living my life and not bothered by such comparisons,” she explained to the magazine at the time.
Lerato has been nominated for the SAFTAs12 under the category “Best Presenter” for Live Amp.
