Sam commenced her career as a Promotions Intern at Clear Channel Communications in May 2012. In this role, she created traffic spots for station promotions, drafted proposals for on-air contests, organized events with listeners and performing artists, and coordinated station representation at live events, including the successful ‘The 4th on Flagler’ with over 150,000 attendees.
Later, in September 2012, she joined WUFT-TV as a reporter and videographer. Progressing through roles, she became an entertainment anchor and WUFT First at Five Evening News Anchor.
In this capacity, she anchored the live ‘First at 5’ newscast, edited audio and video, wrote complete scripts, conducted fieldwork with a partner, gathered video and interviews for chosen story topics, and put together packaged pieces for the live evening news show.
