Mitchell played college basketball at Mercer University for four seasons, and scored nearly 2,000 points, becoming the leading scorer in Bears history.Mitchell did not commence play in the NBA after being drafted and until joining1989 expansion team, the Minnesota Timberwolves, in their inaugural season.
