Sandra Chapman is an American Investigative Reporter/journalist for WTHR-TV which is an NBC-affiliated television station located in Indianapolis, Indiana in the United States of America. She works with the Eyewitness News Investigators Team and her reporting skills are really good.
Some of the awards she has earned include Peabody award, National Headliner Awards and a two-time recipient of American Women in Radio and Television Gracie Allen Award. Furthermore, Sandra has Authored a book known as “The Girl in the Yellow Scarf” which details the break in the case that led to the only arrest in the Carol Jenkins murder investigation.
Additionally, she is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Investigative Reporters and Editors, the Indianapolis Church of Christ and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

The news anchor started her career at WISH-TV in Indianapolis Indiana. Whilst at WISH-TV, she worked as an investigative reporter and a weekend news anchor. Prior to that, she served at WICD in Champaign, Illinois where she was a news anchor, reporter as well as a producer.
In December 2003, Chapman went to WTHR-TV Eyewitness News Investigators, where she has earned national, regional, and statewide awards for her good reporting skills. Sandra covered a story named “Risky Call” which exposed an Ambulance Company putting business above patient safety. The company had a policy that did not require the company to call the closest ambulance during a life and death emergency.
Moreover, she has served on the Board of Directors at the Indianapolis Society of Professional Journalists, Dress for Success, Indianapolis, and Friends of Bethany.
