Sanna Nielsen Biography
Sanna Nielsen is a Swedish singer and television presenter who won Melodifestivalen in 2014 with the song “Undo” and so represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark, finishing in 3rd place overall. This was after attempting to get into the competition seven times.
She was one of the commentators for Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 and also hosted Melodifestivalen 2015 along with comedian Robin Paulsson. She was announced as the new presenter for the sing-along show Allsång på Skansen for the summer of 2016 and hosted Eurovision The Party at the Tele2 Arena for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.

In early 2019, the month of January, Nielsen’s and Joakim’s pictures were published on the cover of the weekly magazine Hänt Extra basunces with the message “Sanna Nielsen’s Gravid-Lycka” which translates to “Sanna Nielsen’s pregnant-happiness”. However addressed the claims in an Instagram and Facebook post saying that they were not true anf purely fictitious. The magazine issued an apology following Nielsen’s reaction as they explained that they make a yearly horoscope to predict happenings in the coming years of famous Swedes and that their mistake was that the cover did not explain what the headline was based on.

Sweden: Edward af Sillén and Sanna Nielsen are Eurovision 2018 commentators
Broadcaster SVT has revealed that Edward af Sillén and singer Sanna Nielsen will be Sweden’s commentators for the ESC 2018. Melodifestivalen 2018 runner-up Felix Sandman is set to deliver the country’s votes.
The commentators
Screenwriter, stage director and Eurovision enthusiast Edward af Sillén will be Sweden’s commentator for the ESC 2018 in Lisbon alongside artist Sanna Nielsen, who herself partook in Eurovision 2014. It will be the second time the duo will provide the commentary for Eurovision together, following the 2015 edition in Vienna, Austria.
Edward af Sillén has delivered the commentary for the contest several times, including the 2017 edition together with 2015 winner Måns Zelmerlöw. He is a great fan of the contest himself, and has also professionally been involved with Eurovision, including as director and screenwriter. Edward af Sillén has furthermore been involved with Sweden’s selection Melodifestivalen.

We have a thrilling Eurovision ahead of us this year. Many favourites in advance and a very strong contribution from Sweden. This can be a riot. Commenting on Eurovision is a highlight of the year, and to do it again with Sanna is a dream.
Sanna Nielsen is a beloved Swedish singer and TV-host. Having participated in Melodifestivalen various times, she won the 2014 edition and subsequently represented Sweden at Eurovision 2014 in Copenhagen, ultimately reaching an honourable 3rd place in the Grand Final with her entry Undo.
