Sasha began training in 2008 at Chaotic Wrestling (CW), based in Woburn, Massachusetts. She made her in-ring debut,on October 1, 2010 under the ring name Mercedes KV, in an intergender tag team match, where she teamed with Nikki Roxx in a losing effort to Alexxis and Danny E. KV and Roxx quickly formed an alliance, teaming together regularly and accompanying each other to ringside. She lost her Kv debut singles match to Danny E., On October 22 and lost a rematch to him on November 13.

On 7 January 2011, she achieved her first victory in a tag team match after she and Roxx defeated Alexxis and Mistress Belmont. She competed in several singles matches, throughout the rest of the year after the victory. She defeated Alexxis in a ‘I Quit’ Match,on 2 December, 2011, to win the Chaotic Women’s Championship.

The year that followed she successfully defended her title from many such as Luscious Latasha, Nikki Roxx, Alexxis Nevaeh, and Mistress Belmont. She defeated Alexxis, Barbie and Mistress Belmont on 1 June 2012,in a fatal four-way match to retain the championship following which she became the longest reigning Chaotic Wrestling Women’s Champion in history, beating the previous record of Alexxis which was 182 days.

The championship was declared vacant on August 18, after her reign of 260 days, as she signed a contract with the WWE.

She made her debut in WWE NXT, with her new ring name Sasha Banks in match against Paige, in which she lost.

Receiving letters from a secret admirer who was revealed to be Audrey Marie, later, she started became a part of a storyline . She however, attacked Banks, in an episode of NXT, due to her jealousy of her success. This was followed by a match between the two, which Banks lost.

After Banks teamed up with Paige and defeated Marie along with Summer Rae, the feud came to an end . She later in June, that year, took part in the NXT Women’s Championship. She however, lost in the first round. She again competed in a tournament for Championship, later, when the Championship was vacant .Unfortunately she lost in the semi-finals.

She defeated Charlotte Flair in a Fatal four-way match, in February 2015, winning the NXT Women’s Championship. A rematch was later held in the month that followed where Banks successfully retained her Championship by defeating Charlotte again. She defended her title against several others such as Alexa Bliss, and Becky Lynch, Throughout that year . She had a rematch with Charlotte again, in July, in which Banks emerged victorious again, retaining her title.

She later took part in the ‘Women’s Revolution’ which started from 2015, which was called for by Stephanie McMahon. She teamed up with Naomi and Tamina Snuka, and formed Team B.A.D. There first triple threat match was against Charlotte and Brie Bella, in which Banks suffered defeat. Later she faced many opponents such as Brie Bella, Alicia Fox, and Becky Lynch.

She was later, drafted to Raw brand as part of the 2016 WWE draft. She faced Charlotte, in her first match, whom she defeated, in order to win the WWE Women’s Championship for the first time. She lost the title back to Charlotte, after a reign of 27 days. The title was later renamed to Raw Women’s Championship.

Sasha was a part of Raw’s women’s team for Survivor Series, in November 2016 . Although she was eliminated by Natalya, her team proceeded to win the match. Banks defeated Charlotte in a Falls Count Anywhere match during the same month, to win the Raw Women’s Championship once again.

In August, she lost her Championship to Bayley, after a reign of 192 days. The two had rematch in September, where Bayley defeated Banks and successfully retained her title. It was however her last match at the NXT.

Banks alongside Bayley and Mickie James started a feud with Absolution (Paige, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville) at the end of 2017, that led to various singles and tag team matches, mostly won by Absolution. Banks also in December, competed in the first ever women’s match contested in the Middle East against Alexa Bliss. At the Royal Rumble, on January 28, 2018, Banks was the first entry in the first women’s Royal Rumble match, and she eliminated Vickie Guerrero, Bayley and Trish Stratus, lasting 54:46 before being eliminated by The Bella Twins. On February 25, she was also in the first women’s Elimination Chamber match at Elimination Chamber, where she was defeated by Bliss.

After weeks of animosity between the two, including Bayley betraying Banks during their matches, Banks and Bayley brawled in a backstage segment,on the March 26 episode of Raw, which had to be separated by referees. Banks and Bayley had a face off in mid–April but their match ended in a no–contest after The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, and Liv Morgan) attacked them both. Banks competed in different singles and tag team matches in the following weeks,in both winning and losing efforts.

After defeating Ruby Riott in the finals of a gauntlet match for the last spot,in June, Banks competed for the first time in her career in a Money in the Bank ladder match, that was ultimately won by Alexa Bliss.Banks and Bayley were told to attend counselor meetings to help maintain their friendship after they continued to attack each other inside the ring and backstage, throughout the next few weeks.

On the July 16 edition of Raw, Banks confessed to Bayley that she has always loved her despite their differences and the two reconciled their relationship the following week leading them to create a tag team, known as “The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection”.
