In late April 2017, the news reporter was hospitalized for one week following a health scare that almost took his life. The journalist explained that it all started as a post-broadcast stomach ache that led to a trip to the emergency room where he was diagnosed with a form of vasculitis. From the year 2002, he suffered internal bleeding that caused him to lose 50 percent of his blood as a result of his condition.
Furthermore, Swan credits his doctors, including Dr. Randy Irwin with Corvasc MD’s Cardiothoracic Surgeons & Vascular Specialists for saving his life after a near-death experience with vasculitis on the 26 of July 26 in 2017. Scott’s doctor refers to it as ‘near-death.’
