Seafret Career
Jack started singing when he was 18 while Harry was 13. Harry was playing with his dad’s band and it was an Americana Bluegrass type and he was playing this banjo
Jack and Harry met in Bridlington during an open mic performance. After each performing on stage, they took the time to know each other. This when they decided to work together as a band. First, they recorded the performances and shared them online.
Leaving their hometown instilled their songwriting with a greater sense of loss, both of the coastline they had grown up with and their respective loved ones This gained them a huge number of viewers. Later in 2016, in January, they released their first EP. It was named “Give Me Something’.
They did not take long to release the second EP ” Oceans” in January 2015. In the same year, they released their first single, “Atlantis”(May). Then next they had ” Be There”, as their second single. This was in June 2015. Also, Seafret has done covers. Like “Drown” is a cover for Bring Me the Horizon’s song. This was in October 2015.

Formed in 2011, the band is now 8 years old. Prior, the band lived close to the coast. The name sea refers to the mist rolling from the North Sea in summer. For the word “fret”, it comes from the pan fret on the guitar. Thus coming up by the name “seafret”.
