Sean Fletcher Biography
Sean Fletcher was born on 20 April 1974. He is an American-British journalist and radio broadcast personality, currently working with ITV and BBC. He is best known as a sport presenter on Good Morning Britain and as a reporter on Countryfile. He also presented the ITV daytime game show Rebound between 2015 and 2016, and the Sunday morning talk show Sunday Morning Live from 2017 to present.
Sean was brought up in Essex and in Zimbabwe. His birth place was in New York City to a Zimbabwean-born mother and English father. Fletcher studied at Felsted School which is an independent school in the village of Felsted (near Great Dunmow) in Essex,followed by King’s College London, where he obtained a degree in Geography.

Fletcher began his journalism career in Cardiff producing packages for BBC Radio Wales, this was after training as a music producer. Later, he moved to London to work behind the scenes at Radio 5 Live. Years later, he began working on BBC 2W which is the digital TV channel for Wales. He has also presented and reported on sport for BBC Wales Today. As of 2005 to 2011 he has presented sports bulletins on the rolling news channel BBC News, and has also presented sport on the BBC Weekend News. He has also done sports on BBC Breakfast on BBC One as well as BBC World News. He began reporting on news stories for BBC Breakfast in March 2010.
He later left BBC for Sky Sports News in October 2011, where he worked until his departure in early 2014. It was announced that Fletcher would become a sports newsreader on the new ITV Breakfast programme, Good Morning Britain, back in March 3 2014. During the opening day of the programme on 28 April 2014, that was the same time he first appeared on the programme.
Fletcher began presenting Rebound in 2015 which is a ten-part daytime game show for ITV. It airs in the 5 pm slot. In 2016, they produced a second series of the show.He appeared in an episode of All Star Mr & Mrs alongside his wife Luned in September 2015. He has also been an occasional reporter for Countryfile on BBC One since October 2015.
In 2016, he co-presented the BBC Two series Food Detectives alongside Tom Kerridge and Alice Roberts. He has been presenting the Sunday morning BBC One programme referred to as Sunday Morning Live alongside Emma Barnett since 2017. He replaced Matthew Wright as presenter of BBC’s current affairs programme in the Inside Out London in September 2017. He co-presented Britain’s Classroom Heroes with Naga Munchetty on BBC Two in October 2017.

Fletcher became a celebrity ambassador for the UK charity, Balls to Cancer in 2014. He later became an ambassador for the Beating Bowel Cancer charity in September 2015. In 2015 and 2016, he ran the London Marathon to raise money for the charity. Later in 2017 he ran the London Marathon for Heads Together and Young Minds UK. He also played for the ‘Rest of the World’ team on ITV’s celebrity football match Soccer Aid, which supports UNICEF UK in 2016.
