Thomas first appeared on screen in the mid-1990s, playing minor roles in films such as Conspiracy Theory (1997), Can’t Hardly Wait (1998), and Cruel Intentions (2001). (1999). His first leading role was in the teen drama Save the Last Dance, which he co-starred in with Julia Stiles.
