Sebastian Ingrosso ignites Swedish House Mafia hype teasing possible Nike partnership
Updated: 15th August 2018
Since the short lived return of EDM’s most storied trio, Swedish House Mafia, speculation surrounding their next move has been spreading like wildfire. Details of a full scale reunion are beginning to slowly trickle out, and it looks like the three veteran superstars may have some special commemorative gear on the way too, possibly courtesy of Nike.
Recently, Sebastian Ingrosso stoked the fire by uploading a telling photo to Twitter — a t-shirt touting three Nike swooshes across the back, reminiscent of the Mafia’s three dot calling card. A few months ago, right around the time of the group’s larger-than-life reunion performance, pictures surfaced of similarly-SHM-fashioned Nike sneakers. The recurring photos point to a potential partnership of some sort, though its too early to say if Nike was tapped for tour merchendise, a capsule collection, or something entirely different.
While nothing is substantive yet, the recent revamping of Swedish House Mafia’s now-empty merch store could be another nod in Nike’s direction. Stay tuned.
