Bruce Kulick is an American guitarist, musician and member of the band Grand Funk Railroad since 2000. His original name is Bruce Howard Kulick. Before, he was a long-time member of the band Kiss (1984–1996). Also, he was a member of Union with John Corabi from 1997 to 2002 as well as the Blackjack from 1979 to 1980.

Also, Kulick has released several solo albums, in addition to session work with various artists. He is the younger brother of Bob Kulick, a guitarist. Bruce brother’s Bob Kulick was born Robert J. Kulick on 16th January 1950 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, the U.S.

He died on 30 May 2020 at an age of 70 years old. The record producer, as well as the guitarist’s cause of death, is currently not known.

Bruce Kulick Career

In a 2004 feature interview with Paul Stanley, Kulick discussed his very first recorded project from 1974, a band called KKB. It featured performances by his childhood friends Mike Katz as well as Guy Bois (the other K and B of KKB, respectively) and he likened its sound to that of Cream.

Kulick found the master tape from those sessions in 2008 and issued it via limited edition CD, available during his appearances at Kiss expos, and via his website. In a follow-up interview with Paul Stanley, Kulick also discussed his lifelong love of Star Wars and its historical similarities to kiss.

In the mid-1970s Kulick toured for several months as the lead guitarist of the Andrea True Connection. In the late 1970s, following the release of Meat Loaf’s first album Bat Out of Hell, Kulick played rhythm guitar/lead guitar on tour with Meat Loaf’s band alongside his brother Bob on lead guitar/rhythm guitar. In the tour introductions, Meat Loaf introduced Bruce and Bob as ‘Pretty Boy’ and ‘Killer’ respectively.

“I am heartbroken to have to share the news of the passing of my brother Bob Kulick. His love of music and his talent as a musician and producer should always be celebrated. Please respect the Kulick Family’s privacy during this sad time. RIP,” wrote Bruce Kalick on Twitter on Friday. Kulick auditioned for Kiss in the early 1970s, but the lead guitarist role went to Ace Frehley, who went on to co-found the band with Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss in 1973. The musician contributed to several of Kiss’ albums and worked with Stanley on his solo album in 1978.

“We are heartbroken. Our deepest condolences to the Kulick family in this difficult time,” the band posted on Twitter. Kulick also played with the West Coast heavy metal band W.A.S.P., Lou Reed, and singer Meat Loaf’s touring band, the Neverland Express. He also co-wrote the song “Sweet Victory” for the Super Bowl-inspired episode of Nickelodeon’s “SpongeBob Squarepants.”
