Kelsey’s father is Professor and Chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center and holds the Robert Tucker Hayes Foundation Distinguished Chair in Cardiothoracic Surgery.

While her late mother Cassandra who peacefully died on March 3, 2019, was a multi-talented individual. Sadly, she passed away after a brief battle with leukemia. She died at the age of 60 in the arms of her loving husband, Kemp.
