    Emmylou Harris started her musical career performing folk songs in Greenwich Village coffeehouses and clubs. After establishing herself and getting noticed as a promising new singer, she had her first major breakthrough when she contributed her velvety, country-infused soprano vocals to Gram Parsons’s two solo albums between 1973 and 1974. When Parsons died in 1973, Harris released her major-label debut album, Pieces of the Sky (1975), which garnered highly positive reviews and included her tribute to Parsons, “From Boulder to Birmingham”.

    In the next few years, she came out with a series of critically acclaimed and commercially successful recordings produced by her then-husband, Brian Ahern. Harris also collaborated with and covered a number of prominent artists such as Hank Williams, Simon, and Garfunkel, Linda Ronstadt and Bruce Springsteen.

    In 1999, John Nolan was enrolled in Taking Back Sunday by Jesse Lacey. He later would welcome Adam Lazzara to join the band. In 2002 the band would discharge their introduction album, Tell All Your Friends. He would leave the band in 2003 to seek a different musical direction alongside close-to-home contrasts with other band individuals.

    In March 2010, he and Shaun Cooper returned to Taking Back Sunday. In 2011, the band discharged a self-titled collection that crested at number 17 on the Billboard 200, the first since Nolan’s rejoining. In 2014, the band discharged Happiness Is, which appeared at number 10 in the Billboard 200 and went to number 1 on Billboard’s top autonomous collections diagram, turning into Nolan’s most elevated diagramming collection.

    Straylight Run

    In 2003, John with his sister Michelle DaRosa formed the Straylight Run, together with drummer Will Noon and previous Taking Back Sunday bassist Shaun Cooper. In 2004 the band discharged their self-titled first collection which topped at number 100 in the Billboard 200 and number 4 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart.

    Straylight Run went on to release two albums and four EP’s from 2004 to 2009. The band’s 2007 record, The Needles Space would debut at number 72 in the Billboard 200, marking the band’s highest position on that chart. The bands 2005 Prepare to be the Wrong EP charted at number 168. On February 16, 2010, Straylight Run was announced to be on “hiatus”, with a live album to be released in the future.

    Solo Album

    On May 1, 2009, Nolan announced on his MySpace blog that he had decided to work on some solo material, some of which can be found on his MySpace and Bandcamp profiles. On October 27, 2009, his first solo album, Height, was released on Doghouse Records. John toured the Midwest and east coast with Person L and Brian Bonz in November and in January with help from Gabriel the Marine and Ocean is Theory.

    In 2014 he provided the song “Here Comes the Wolf” to the soundtrack of the Jason Michael Brescia film, Bridge and Tunnel. The song was named for a few awards in the film festival circuit and was the beneficiary of “Best Original Song” at the 2014 Long Island International Film Expo. On the Gabriel the Marine track “Round and Round”, he provides backup vocals and co-songwriting credit.  Nolan released his second solo album, Sad, Strange, Beautiful Dream on July 27, 2015.     John Paul Jones Biography

    John Paul Jones is an English musician, songwriter/composer, and record producer who was born and brought up in Sidcup, Kent, England, United Kingdom. He is widely known for his time with the rock band Led Zeppelin as the bassist and keyboardist. He and Jimmy Page formed the band in 1968. Before forming the band, he was a session musician and arranger. His stage name was suggested by Andrew Loog Oldham, his friend. Andrew had seen the John Paul Jones film poster in France.
