Young is a former American basketball player who played as a small forward in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). Young played college basketball for James Madison University and was drafted by the Atlanta Dream with the 8th overall pick of the 2008 WNBA draft.
She also performed for the Chicago Sky, Shanxi Flame, and Las Vegas Aces. Young was an AP honorable mention All-American in the year 2008 and won the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year award in the same year. She is also a three-time First-team All-CAA honoree (2006-2008).
Young’s career highlights include leading the Chicago Sky to the WNBA Finals in 2015. She is also the all-time leading scorer at Emsley A. Laney High School, where her number 11 jersey is retired.
