Theo James (Theodore Peter James, Kinnaird Taptiklis)   is an English actor, director, producer and model, known for portraying the role of Tobias “Four” Eaton in The Divergent Series film trilogy.

He played Detective Walter William Clark, Jr. in the crime-drama series Golden Boy, 2013, and David in the films Underworld: Awakening, 2012, and Underworld: Blood Wars, 2016.

He performed as Will Younger in the Netflix Original film, How It Ends, 2018. In 2015, the actor became the brand ambassador for Hugo Boss fragrances for men, appearing in print ads and commercials.

Theo James-Emily Ratajkowski Movie ‘Lying And Stealing’ Heading For Theaters In Vertical-DirecTV Deal.

Vertical Entertainment and DirecTV have acquired North American distribution rights to Lying and Stealing, the Matt Aselton-directed crime drama starring “Theo James and Emily Ratajkowski”. A second-quarter 2019 day-and-date release is planned after a one-month exclusive bow on the satellite service.

The deal comes as Vertical’s Peter Jarowey and Josh Spector are at the Sundance Film Festival seeking out pics for the company’s 2019 slate. They negotiated the Lying and Stealing deal with UTA Independent Film Group on behalf of the filmmakers. Voltage Pictures is selling international rights.

In the Cota Films and 50 Degrees Entertainment pic, James plays Ivan, a thief whose specialty is stealing high-end art from the Los Angeles elite. Business is good, but he wants out. Elyse (Ratajkowski) is an aspiring actress with a closet full of skeletons and a mountain of debt. Soon the two clever grifters decide to team for one last, big daring heist. Aselton co-wrote the script with Adam Nagata and produced with Mohamed AlRafi, Michael Costigan and Naomi Despres. James, Christopher Tricarico, and Lisa Wolofsky are executive producers.

EXCLUSIVE: Theo James has been set to star in How It Ends, the action thriller that is set up at Netflix with David M. Rosenthal directing. The pic is on track to start production next month in Canada. The Black List script by Brooks McLaren centers on a mysterious apocalyptic event that turns the roads into mayhem, and a young father (James) who will stop at nothing to get home to his pregnant wife on the other side of the country.

Paul Schiff, Tai Duncan, Kelly McCormick, and Patrick Newall are producers; Sierra/Affinity developed the project with Paul Schiff Productions and is handling worldwide sales and financing. Sierra’s Nick Meyer and Marc Schaberg are executive producers. Netflix acquired worldwide rights in January.

James, who starred opposite Shailene Woodley in the Divergent movies, is now in production on Drake Doremus’ sci-fi romancer Zoe opposite Ewan McGregor and Léa Seydoux. He co-starred in the play Sex With Strangers on the West End this year and is next up on the big screen in Per Fly’sBackstabbing For Beginners.
