Odonga Otto Personal Life

The outspoken Aruu MP and his wife Juliet Oyulu were attracted to each other at a small function at Munyonyo. Out of curiosity, he says he made several advances to Juliet, until what started as an attraction turned into marriage. The couple has three children Yumi, Rupee and Israel. Juliet and Otto work together in their chambers, Oyulu, Ondonga-Otto and Co. Advocates.

Odonga Otto wins Aruu, Anywar leading

Incumbent Aruu County MP Samuel Odonga Otto has been declared by the district returning officer Joseph Omona as the duly elected MP garnering 11,672 votes.

NRM’s Alfred Akena came second with 6,551 votes while Samuel Ocaya got 869 votes

For the woman MP race for Pader district, Okot Santa and CD Oketayot Lowila are running neck to neck.

Meanwhile, there is heavy deployment of both the police and military at the tallying centre in Pader following confusion over the results of Aruu north constituency MP seat

In the presidential race, candidate Kizza Besigye got 20, 223 votes; incumbent Yoweri Museveni has 17,336 votes; Amama Mbabazi has 3,720 votes; Venansius Baryamureeba has 690 votes; Benon Biraaro has 437 votes; Elton Mabirizi has 355 votes; Abed Bwanika has 1,210 votes and Kyalya has 638 votes

Meanwhile, preliminary results for the Kitgum Municipality parliamentary seat by this morning showed that Beatrice Atim Anywar was still taking the lead with 5,658 votes, while Denis Onekalit Amere has 2889, Richard Ojara Okwera with 2762 and John Livingstone Okello Okello with 673 votes.

In the Chua West constituency provisional results placed Okin PP in a landslide lead with 13,413 votes, Alfred Odera with 4,685 votes and Dr. Omona Kizito who garnered 950 votes.

Kitgum district registrar Joan Aduru says pronouncements of the results will be made later today

If declared a winner Anywar becomes, the first woman in Acholi Sub region to be a directly elected MP.
