President Kenyatta and the First Lady Margaret Wanjiru have three children, sons Jomo and Jaba and daughter Ngina. President Uhuru Kenyatta and Margaret Kenyatta married at the Holy Family Basilica in 1989. The first couple’s three children went to school outside the country. Ngina graduated last year.

Jomo is the first son of President Uhuru Kenyatta. Jomo Kenyatta married his long-time girlfriend in a cultural Kikuyu wedding.
Jomo attended Hilton College and Michael House in KwaZulu Natal Midlands in South Africa. In 2011, he worked as an intern at Johari Cleff Studios. He married Fion Achola Ngobi in an elegant all-white ceremony held at State House. The wedding was held at Statehouse Nairobi. The couple held their traditional dowry and wedding ceremony in 2016. In November 2017, the two couple welcomed their first child at Agha Khan Hospital, baby Wanjiru, who was named after the first lady Margaret Kenyatta.
