Tom Parker Biograophy

Tom Parker (Thomas Anthony Parker) was born on 4th August 1988 in Bolton, United Kingdom. He is a musician who is a member of the boy band ‘The Wanted’.


Parker learned to play the guitar at the age of sixteen after trying out his older brother’s. He then went on to audition for The X Factor but did not get past the first round. He went to Manchester Metropolitan University and studied Geography, but dropped out in pursuit of a professional singing career.He joined a Take That band known as Take That II and toured Northern England.

Tom Parker The Wanted

In 2009  Tom Parker heard about a massive, nationwide audition to form a new singing group. After several stages of a nine-month
competition, with more than 1,000 contestants from across England and Ireland, Parker was chosen as a member of the five-member new group, The Wanted.

The band was formed with four other members Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes and was named The Wanted.

On 25th July 2010 they released their debut single, “All Time Low”.The song hit number one in the UK and spent 17 weeks in the UK top 40. Their second single “Heart Vacancy” was released on 17th October 2010.It peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart.

The group’s eponymous debut album was released on 25 October 2010 which peaked at number fourin the UK and has since been certified Platinum in the UK.

In 2014 the band embarked on their first world tour, the Word of Mouth Tour. The tour included shows in the UK, Europe, the US and Canada. After the tour the band announced that they would take a hiatus and pursue solo endeavors.

In October 2015, he released “Undiscovered” along with his own website and tour dates.

Thomas Parker

He is an avid DJ, and collaborated with Richard Rawson on a track called “Fireflies”, which was released in August 2014. In May 2015, Parker was confirmed to take part in the UK version of Celebrity Masterchef. He was then eliminated during the semi-finals of the competition.

In February 2016, it was confirmed that Parker was to replace Tina Hobley on the Channel 4 show The Jump after she fell on her arm and dislocated her elbow and finished 3rd.

In 2017, Tom Parker was cast in The UK Tour of Grease the Musical as Danny Zuko.
