Adam Sandler Biography
Adam Sandler,an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, film producer, and a musician was born on September 9, 1966, in New York City but he was raised in Manchester, New Hampshire.He is the son of Judith Levine, a nursery school teacher and Stanley Sandler who was an electrical engineer.
Adam Sandler Movie Career
Adam Sandler never aspired to be a comedian until age 17 when his brother encouraged him to perform at a Boston comedy club.His career began spontaneously the moment he took the stage at a Boston comedy club as he found out that he was a natural comic.
Adam Sandler was later discovered by comedian Dennis Miller who caught Sandler’s act in Los Angeles and recommended him to Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels.Sandler was then hired as a writer for SNL in 1990 and later became a featured player the following year and further making a name for himself by performing his original songs on the show.
Sandler kept loyal fans laughing throughout the ’90s to 1995 when his first title film role came in.Thereafter several films followed including Happy Gilmore in 1996, The Wedding Singer co-starring Drew Barrymore, The Water Boy in 1998, Big Daddy in 1999 and Little Nicky in 2000.
In 1993, Adam Sandler appeared in the film Coneheads and in 1994, he co-starred in Airheads with Brendan Fraser and Steve Buscemi.Sandler did several other movies but it was until 2004 that he gained more popularity when he reteamed with Barrymore for another romantic comedy 50 First Dates ,a film that fared well at the box office.
Adam Sandlers next hit was when he played an architect who discovers a remote control that gives the power to fast-forward or rewind his own life in the movie ‘Click’ which was released in 2006.Later in 2007 he starred in ‘I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry’ where he played a straight firefighter who pretends to be in a gay relationship with a widowed firefighter so that his friend can receive domestic partner benefits for himself and his children.
It was with the 2010 comedy Grown Ups co-starring Salma Hayek, Kevin James and Chris Rock that Sandler really enjoyed a great success as the movie did so well and so did Jack and Jill in which he raked in more than $26 million for the first weekend.
Sandler starred in Growns Up 2 in 2013 and also lent his voice to the animated film Hotel Transylvania and. In the year 2015 he continued his voice work in both Pixels and Hotel Transylvania 2. At the end of the year starred in The Ridiculous 6 and in 2016 he teamed up with David Spade in the Nexflix comedy, The Do-Over.

Sandler and his beautiful actress wife Jacqueline Titone have been married since June 2003 after Jacqueline converted to Judaism which is Sandlers religion.
