Lindsay Lohan, an American actress and singer was born Lindsay Dee Lohan in New York City on 2 July 1986.Her father, Michael is a former child actor and her , Dina, has also proven to be multitalented.She attended Cold Spring Harbor High School, where she excelled in mathematics and science. After grade 11, she was homeschooled.
Lindsay Lohan Movie Career
Lindsay began her acting career at a very tender age where she modeled for Calvin Klein Kids and Abercrombie, and appeared in over 60 television commercials for brands like Pizza Hut and Wendy’s, as well as a Jell-O spot with Bill Cosby.
At age ten Lohan was cast as Alli Fowler on the soap opera Another World, a role she played from 1996 to 1997.At the age of 15, she starred in the television series, ‘Bette’. However, she soon left the show and signed a contract with a Los Angeles production company.
In June 2001 Lohan took a brief hiatus from acting. Her music career was launched over a year later, when Estefan Enterprises made a five-album production deal with her in September 2002, and she signed a recording contract with the reactivated Casablanca Records.
Her next acting role was the title character in the comedy Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen , a Disney adaptation of the novel by Dyan Sheldon.She landed other roles however it was her starring role in Paramount’s film Mean Girls, written by comedian Tina Fey, that turned Lohan into a bonafide star.
Five months after her father was sentenced to four years of prison in 2005, she released the music video, Confessions of a Broken Heart -Daughter to Father, which addressed her parents’ choppy relationship and her broken relationship with her father.
She starred in ‘I Know Who Killed Me’ in 2007, where she played the role of a stripper.After a battle with drug addiction that saw her exit the industry for a while, she made a guest appearance in the sitcom, ‘Ugly Betty’, and also starred in the movie ‘Labor Pains’, which released in the year 2009. Around the same time, she also worked on her new album.
In November 2012, Lindsay Lohan starred as Elizabeth Taylor in movie Liz & Dick. Airing on Lifetime, the movie focuses on the Taylor’s relationship with actor Richard Burton.Later around the same period later Lindsay made guest appearances on such shows as Anger Management, Eastbound & Down and 2 Broke Girls.
