Nicolas Cage Biography
Nicolas Cage, an American actor, director and producer was born Nicolas Kim Coppola on 7th January 1964 in Long Beach, California.He is the son to August Coppola, a professor of literature and Joy Vogelsang who was a dancer and choreographer.
He attended Beverly Hills High School then later he attended UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
Nicolas Cage Movie Career
Cage kicked off his acting career in teenage comedies with his debut in Fast Times at Ridgemont High in 1982 followed by a leading role as a punk rocker in Valley Girl which was released in 1983.Cage featured in several other films however his first serious dramatic role was opposite Matthew Modine in Birdy released in 1984.
This was followed by Coppola’s Peggy Sue Got Married in the year 1986, the Coen Brothers’ comedy Raising Arizona in 1987, Moonstruck in 198, David Lynch’s bizarre Wild at Heart which was released in 1990, Vampire’s Kiss in 1992 and the comedy Honeymoon in Vegas also in 1992.
Cage went to do other films in the 90’s including: The Rock in the year 1996, Con Air which was released in 1997, John Woo’s Face/Off in the year 1997 and Brian De Palma’s Snake Eyes released in 1998.The films got an average reception but the film National Treasure firmed up Cage’s celebrity status as the film got a very good reception and also positive critics.
In 2008 and 2009 Cage starred in the films Bangkok Dangerous and the science fiction thriller Knowing which was directed by Alex Proyas.In 2012, Cage reprised his role in Ghost Rider’s sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and he also voiced the character Grug Crood in the animated film The Croods, which was released in 2013. The Croods received positive reviews from critics and was a box office success grossing $585 million against a budget of $135 million.

Nicolas Cage dated Kristina Fulton who was a model for several years and they has a son together, Weston Coppola Cage.In terms of marriage, Cage has been married three times: The first to actress Patricia Arquette in 1995; the second was a short-lived marriage to Lisa-Marie Presley, the only daughter of the late King of Rock and Roll, in August 2002- and most recently, he wed his girlfriend, 20-year-old former waitress Alice Kim, at a private ranch in Northern California in August 2004. The couple announced the birth of a son, Kal-el Coppola Cage, on October 3, 2005.
