    The Happy Goodman Family

    With the development of Word Records in the mid-1960s, Vestal and The Happy Goodman Family were the lead artists marked to the company.

    In 1969, she won the principal ever Female Vocalist of the Year Dove Award. As a characteristic advance in her vocation, Goodman discharged her first independent collection, “Thank heaven!” in 1971, from which came the outstanding single, “It’ll All Be Over But the Shoutin”.
