Anderson co-hosted the triple J breakfast radio show with Adam Spencer from 2000 to 2004. He then hosted the comedy talk show The Glass House, alongside Corinne Grant and Dave Hughes, which was broadcast on ABC between 2001 and 2006. The show was canceled in November 2006 amid media speculation that the cancellation was due to pressure from then Prime Minister Howard even though Howard refuted those accusations. Anderson was nominated for the Most Popular Presenter award in 2007, at the Logies for his role on the show.
Anderson joined with Lehmo to host Wil & Lehmo, an afternoon drive-time radio program on Triple M from April 2007 to November 2008. Anderson became the executive producer and host of The Gruen Transfer in May 2008. It was a panel talk show about advertising televised on ABC and debuted with a record-breaking audience of 1.287 million viewers which is the highest-rating debut entertainment program in the history of ABC. He then made a guest appearance in 2006 on Have You Been Paying Attention.
