She co-founded Lide (Haitian Creole for “leader” or “idea”), a foundation to support young women interested in writing and creative arts, while in Haiti.
Rather than the capital city of Port-au-Prince, Reinhorn chose the city of Gonaves as the site of the project in order to “boost literacy and help the girls find dignity and learn life skills.”
