Trudy Rubin Biography
Trudy Rubin is a famous columnist. She works for the Philadelphia Inquirer and is a member of the Inquirer’s editorial board. Before joining the Inquirer, she worked as a Middle East correspondent for the Christian Science Monitor, where she covered Israel and the Arab world.
Earlier to that, she was a staff writer on American politics for the Economist. In recent years she has written from Afghanistan, Ukraine, China, the West Bank, Taiwan, Russia, Israel, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, and many other countries.
Furthermore, In 2001 and 2017, she was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in commentary. In 2019, Rubin earned the Overseas Press Club of America’s Flora Lewis Award for best writing in international affairs. She is the writer of Willful Blindness: The Bush Administration and Iraq. In 1990 she was an exchange journalist at the Moscow News in Russia, and in 1974 and 1975 she was an Alicia Patterson Foundation Fellow in Beirut and Cairo.
