Bernardo Mota Veiga de Carvalho e Silva best known as Bernardo Silva is a Portuguese professional footballer. He plays as a midfielder for the Portugal national team and Premier League club Manchester City. He started his youth career in 2002 after joining Benfica and in 2031, he started playing for Benfica B in 2013. He was promoted to the first-team in 2014, playing a few minutes with the team.
In 2017, after winning the national championship, he was signed by English club Manchester City for a reported fee of £43.5 million. In his first season with England, he won the Premier League and EFL Cup. He followed this win with a domestic treble the following season.
