Charlie Schlatter Thomas is an American actor famous for playing the character of Dr. Jesse Travis in the American television series Diagnosis Murder.
He has also played the popular character of David Watson Jack Watson in the 1988 comedy film 18 Again! Schlatter has been a prominent figure in the animation world, voicing numerous characters in animated series. As well as in video games in his three-decade-long career. He is known for being a part of popular animated shows like Captain Planet and the Planeteers.
He’s first-ever appearance in the show business came in 1988. This was after one of the casting directors spotted him a year before in performance. Hence the director encouraged him to go for an audition. He played the character of Michael the younger brother of the male protagonist in the film. Later that year he appeared in the film Heartbreak Hotel and played the character of Johnny Wolfe.
He then worked in his most important film to date. After making some appearances in films and movies, he was signed for the role of Dr. Jesse Travis in Diagnosis Murder. He appeared on the show for six seasons. Charlie acted alongside the legendary singer, actor, and dancer, Dick Van Dyke. Thus they later became good friends.
