One of the greatest stories she has covered id the Dayton Police or as well the Montgomery County Court beat and reported about all forms of criminal stories from the local criminal justice system. She anchored about the high-profile trials including that of Ted Sinks’ murder trial. She was alleged to killed his wife and buried her on the 7th floor of the Dayton Newspaper Building in downtown Dayton.

McHenry even earned an Emmy Award for her Investigative Reporting about the three-part series that concerned repeated drunk driving offenders in 1990. She is also a producer of two half hour specials including the “Miami Valley Murder Mysteries”, and “PTSD: Invisible Wound” which was driven with the aim of creating and emphasizing awareness about the post-traumatic stress among the military combat veterans.
