Camacho was born on September 6, 1988, in Hagåtña, Guam to Marcia and Francisco Muña Camacho. He was raised on Saipan, the Northern Mariana Islands where he is still based. He started playing golf at a young age in hopes of competing professionally one day.
However, he moved his attention to mixed martial arts (MMA), to shed some weight and get in shape, after watching UFC and Pride Fighting Championships events on television.
He started to train in MMA when he was fifteen, under the supervision of Tetsuji Kato and Cuki Alvarez of Trench Tech Purebred at Saipan. He competed in his first professional fight one year later.

Four years after his appearance in TUF 16, Camacho was called up from UFC to replaced injured Jonathan Meunier, making his debut on June 17, 2017, at UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Correia, to face Li Jingliang. Camacho lost the fight via unanimous decision. The win earned him his first UFC’s Fight of the Night bonus award.
Camacho faced Damien Brown on November 19, 2017, in a lightweight bout at UFC Fight Night: Werdum vs. Tybura. At the weight-ins, Camacho weighed in at 160 pounds, four pounds over the lightweight upper limit of 156 pounds. The bout proceeded at a catchweight and Camacho forfeited 30% of his purse to Brown.
He won the fight via split decision. This win earned him the second UFC’s Fight of the Night bonus. After the fight, Camacho took to Twitter asking UFC President Dana White to give his US$50 thousand bonus to Brown as he believed he was not eligible for the bonus since he missed weight.
