Giorgia is an Italian female singer, songwriter, musician, record producer and radio host born on 26 April 1971 in Rome, Italy as Giorgia Todrani. Giorgia is best known for her soulful voice, which is aided by a wide vocal range, high belting register and great vocal abilities.
She is one of the most iconic and popular female Italian artists of all time. She has recorded a dozen albums, including Giorgia and Oronero, which have cracked the Top Ten on the Italian Charts. She has great voice qualities and has been compared to Whitney Houston and Mina, and has been defined “fourth-best voice in the world”.
Giorgia has sold over 7 million records worldwide, with 12 top-ten albums of which 5 number-one on the Italian album chart, and 24 top-ten singles of which 5 number-one hits on the Italian singles chart. Billboard magazine called her “one of the most popular Italian singers” and stated that “she could have made it (a great success) in the USA too”.
