Gregg is among the founders of the Santana band and it was his initial band that he was involved in. In 1966 he joined other fellas like Carlos Santana and formed the Santana Blue Band.
He was a member of their first success such that they appeared at the Woodstock Music and Art Festival among other hit albums.
