Howie Dorough Biography
Howie Dorough is an American singer, songwriter, and actor who is a member and co-founder of the American music group Backstreet Boys.
As part of its management partnership with former 3deep member CJ Huyer, called HC Entertainment formed in 2004, Dorough worked as a producer for singer/songwriter George Nozuka and Katelyn Tarver. He has also managed a Canadian band Neverest since 2010 which was under the company of Dorough, 3 Street Management.
Howie began working on his first solo album around 2006. The album would include both Spanish / Latin, and American songs. But ultimately, he changed his mind on the album style. Noting his Spanish wasn’t the best and didn’t want to be anything he wasn’t. He began working on the album around 2010/2011 which was more pop / r&b-style.
Eventually, Dorough’s first solo album Back to Me was released on November 15, 2011. The album featured numerous songs co-written by Howie himself. The first single of the album “100,” a dance track was released in the summer of 2011 and received moderate success and airplay, primarily in Canada. Dorough also joined Britney Spears for her South America Femme Fatale Tour in November 2011.
