She began her career as Sabado Gigante’s spokesmodel on Univision. She later joined Univision’s TV Mujer (or TV Woman) in its final season. After it was canceled, she was chosen as one of the anchors in 1990 for the Univision’s national news show, Noticias y Mas.
Additionally, she has worked for the Cuban-American channel, Television Marti, and at CNN’s Miami affiliate, Dynamic Cablevision. Nespral later moved to New York City in 1991. While in New York, she became the first Hispanic American network television news anchor as the weekend co-host of NBC’s Today with Scott Simon. In 1994, Nespral returned to Miami, where she was assigned as an anchorwoman for WTVJ, the NBC O&O station in Miami. She currently anchors the 5 pm, 5:30 pm, 6 pm, and 11 pm newscasts for the station.
