Jason Patric Lost Boys
The Lost Boys could be a 1987 yank horror comedy film directed by Joel Schumacher, stellar Corey Haim, Jason Patric, Kiefer soprano, Jami Gertz, Corey Feldman, Dianne Wiest, Edward Herrmann, Alex Winter, Judith Jamison Newlander, and Barnard Hughes.
Teenage brothers Michael (Jason Patric) and guided missile (Corey Haim) move with their mother (Dianne Wiest) to atiny low city in northern California. While the younger guided missile meets a combine of kindred spirits in geeky comic-book nerds Edward (Corey Feldman).
Alan (Jamison Newlander), the angst-ridden Michael shortly falls for Star (Jami Gertz) — United Nations agency seems to be in thrall to David (Kiefer Sutherland), leader of an area gang of vampires. Sam and his new friends should save Michael and Star from the undead.
Jason Patric Julio Roberts
Julia Roberts is having a bit of trouble at the box office these days, but 25 years ago, the actress with the megawatt smile and even more captivating laugh was pure gold. At just 23, the Smyrna, Ga., native was Hollywood’s most bankable star, with Pretty Woman, Steel Magnolias, and Sleeping With the Enemy under her belt. More interesting — and dramatic — than her meteoric rise to fame, though, was her love life.
On this day 25 years ago, the Hollywood “it” girl, who already had a romance with Liam Neeson and a broken engagement to Dylan McDermott under her belt, was supposed to marry her Flatliners co-star Kiefer Sutherland, who was one year her senior.
But as preparations were underway at the wedding venue — 20th Century Fox’s Soundstage 14, which was being decorated like a garden paradise — for a June 14, 1991, wedding, Roberts became a real-life Runaway Bride, years before she starred in a film of the same name. She ran off with her fiancé’s friend, Jason Patric.
Jason Patric Danielle Scrieber
Patric dated Danielle Schreiber off-and-on for approximately 10 years. During the relationship they conceived a son through in vitro fertilization. Patric and Schreiber separated in May 2012. Schreiber’s attorneys argued that, under California law,
Patric was a sperm donor as Schreiber and Patric had not married and the conception of the child was by artificial means, and therefore Patric has no custody rights to the son. Patric[8] has been pursuing changes to the law that bars his parental rights. Patric then sued for parental rights over the child, but lost the case at the trial court level.
The Court of Appeal of California, however, also ruled that the California Family Code did not preclude him from establishing that he was presumed a parent based on his post birth conduct.
The case was sent back down to the trial court level, and in late 2014 he was recognized legally as the father of his son with the court granting him parental rights. Following his initial loss in trial court, he lobbied the California legislature to give parental rights to sperm donors.
