Julie Wright began her career with the WJLA-TV family in April 2015. She’s hosting a weekday morning on Good Morning Washington and a famous talk show on NewsChannel 8 Let’s Talk Live.
Julie eventually left her neighborhood with a map and found her way up I-95 to Baltimore, where she became an air-borne reporter in Baltimore. She had been selected to fly in the DMV within a year. In 1996, she moved to Washington DC to report for the Fox 5 morning news on WTTG-TV.
In the last 14 years in the DMV, Julie has been telling people where and where not to go on a daily basis on radio and TV and has covered major events, including political meetings and street closures, sporting events, inauguration ceremonies and, of course, the D.C. Sniper attacks in the year 2002.
Beyond the cameras, or in her other life outside of the mainstream, she’s a sitting president of the D.C. CHAPTER SAG-AFTRA, an avid runner, likes to spend time with friends and, of course, to enjoy the sun.
