Panic Attack
When Dan was filling in reading the headlines on Good Morning America in 2004 in an ordinary morning. By that time the show was only watched by about 5.019 million people back then. After a short bulletin on new medicine, he started to break down. He explained that his heart started racing, his lungs seized up, his palms were sweating, his mouth dried up and he couldn’t breathe.
Harris struggled through the last few lines of the bulletin, then signed off as professionally as he possibly could. It was clear to him that he had experienced his worst panic attack ever. Though it may not have looked as bad as it could’ve, he insists that inside, “the universe was closing in”.
