Meghan Lane KRCG 13
Meghan joined KRCG 13 initially working as a reporter on the weekend and three days during the week. After some time, Lane was promoted to become the weekend co-anchor. In March of 2012, Meghan became the morning show anchor of KRCG 13 Live at Sunrise.
While still working as the morning show anchor she also became an interactive managing editor. She later became the interim managing editor and anchor for KRCG 13 Live at 5 for a few months.
In August 2014, Lane has named KRCG 13’s evening anchor for the 5, 6, and 10 p.m. newscasts. In early January 2015, she was asked to serve as interim news director at KRCG 13. She worked in this position until the end of March.
Meghan has been able to anchor shows that are informative, strategic, visually compelling, fresh, and creative at KRCG 13. She enlightens viewers of current breaking news and events with effective live shots, attention-grabbing headlines, and in-depth reports.
She engages with the public over many platforms both on-air and online. Meghan has led the newsroom through successful election coverage, high profile stories and helped motivate co-workers to improve on their work as Interim Managing Editor.
Before she joined KRCG 13, Lane worked as an intern for WDTN News Channel 2 for five months from January 2009 – May 2009. Here she co-produced A, B, and C blocks of 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts.
She also participated in live shots Reported in the field and wrote and edited her own packages. She was also an intern at Think TV for 10 months from August 2008 – May 2009. Lane Produced and edited a community profile segment for Dayton Public Television.
