In 1999, Justin moved from Stockton, New South Wales, to attend the sports training institution called the ‘Australian Institute of Sport’ (AIS) in Canberra after he obtained a scholarship.

Justin was named to the Australian team set to compete at the ‘Pan Pacific Swimming Championships,’ a long-course (50 m) event, in 1999. The event was held from August 22 to 29 that year at the ‘Sydney International Aquatic Centre’ in Sydney, Australia.

The 2000 ‘Summer Olympic Games’ held in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, marked the first ‘Olympic’ event for the then-newcomer Justin. However, he could not put up a good start and finished sixth, with a time of 4:17.87, in the men’s 400–meter individual medley event held at the ‘Sydney International Aquatic Centre’ on September 17 that year.

His next feat was winning a bronze medal in the 200-meter individual medley event at the 2001 ‘FINA World Championships’ held in Fukuoka, Japan. This was followed by three gold medals at the 2002 ‘Commonwealth Games’ held at the ‘Manchester Aquatics Centre’ in Manchester, England, one each in the 200-meter butterfly, the 200-meter individual medley, and the 400-meter individual medley.

Justin then participated in the 2003 ‘FINA World Championships’ held in Barcelona, Spain, but could not earn a medal. His performance in the 2004 ‘Summer Olympics’ held in Athens, Greece, was even more unimpressive, as he failed to reach the final round of any event.

After returning to Australia, Justin left the ‘Australian Institute of Sport’ and returned to Newcastle. He announced that he would be taking a hiatus from swimming for a year in 2005.

Norris has also gained recognition through his ‘YouTube’ channel, ‘The Norris Nuts,’ which he runs along with his wife, Brooke, and five children, Sabre, Sockie, Naz, Biggy, and Disco.

Precisely, the channel was created on June 28, 2014, and has gained immense popularity with the ‘YouTube’ audience. It has also earned over 2.3 million subscribers and a whopping count of more than 470 million views, turning Justin and his family members into ‘YouTube’ sensations.

The other ‘YouTube’ channels of the family have also earned considerable fame. To begin with, the kids’ adventure channel ‘Norris Nuts Squad,’ launched on April 25, 2017, has earned over 223 thousand subscribers and over 10 million views. ‘

Norris Nuts Do Stuff,’ launched on October 4, 2018, has amassed over 815 thousand subscribers and over 127 million views. ‘Norris Nuts Gaming,’ launched on March 4, 2019, has gained over 266 thousand subscribers and over 14 million views.

Norris and his family have also made their presence felt on other social media platforms, such as ‘Instagram,’ ‘Twitter,’ and ‘Facebook.’ While their ‘Instagram’ account, ‘norrisnuts,’ boasts of having more than 226 thousand followers, their ‘Twitter’ account, launched in June 2018, has also gained over 1.4 thousand followers.
