Louise Minchin Career

Louise has worked for the Latin American section of the BBC World Service. She toured the country in a converted bus meeting England fans as part of the World Cup coverage for BBC News. In 1998, Louise began working for Radio 5 Live. She has presented station’s main programmes, like Drive and Breakfast.

Louise was a regular BBC News Channel presenter from September 2003 and April 2012.  She was also one of the main relief presenters for the BBC News at One. In December 2011, the BBC announced that she would replace Williams as the main presenter of BBC Breakfast. On Tuesday 8 June 2021, Louise announced live on BBC Breakfast that she was stepping down from the role later that year to concentrate on other interests. On September 15, 2021, she made her last appearance on the show.

Louise has also presented a weekday programme called Missing Live 9:15 am after BBC Breakfast on BBC One and ran for 4 weeks.
